Monday...Monday....

If you are like me, Monday is the one day of the week that is the hardest to begin. Just finished a wonderful weekend with family and friends, one day of sleeping in and leisure. A day spent in worship and fellowship with my christian family. Then back to work to begin my work week. I find it is hard to jump up on Mondays and be joyful about 5 days of early rising, work, more work, and then more work. Do we ever stop to think about the time we spend with our coworkers? We spend more time with our work family than some spend with their relatives. We are blessed when those we work with are as close as family. As the clock ticks to 4:00 pm. I think "that wasn't so bad". Next Monday I won't dread it so much.
Lets take time to thank God for the gift of good health to be able to work and provide for our families. Never forget the less fortunate. Then we see our, Monday wasn't so bad after all.
**Today say a special pray for those who are searching for employment**

Grandparents bring out the kid in all of us....(sorry papa, just had to post this one)

Rain Rain Stay Away!!!!! We have NO Roof

Now should I explain myself or not, since every day we pray for rain due to a drought this summer. I am asking God to hold off for few days. We are having a new roof put on our house. I worried about the rain and the roof, but everything went great. This was our week to worked the concessions at Church League games. It never fails this would also be the week they would start on paving our drive. Sometimes everything happens at once, not to mention work, church, and home. I am not complaining though, it was wonderful driving down a road that wasn't gravel....ha ha The driveway will be finished in another week or so. I am so blessed to have family who can oversee projects that come up when we are at work (thanks Papa and Granny)

We have a wedding to attend this Saturday in Smyrna TN. Richard's cousin is getting married. We are so excited she is a sweetheart. There is nothing greater than to witness a love story begin. I am a sucker for weddings I have attended several this summer, so sweet and I cry every time. I tell Richard they are happy tears. It also reminds me of the love I have for my husband and the vows we made to each other. Memories created, Memories remembered. We are so blessed.

I saved the best for last "I don't have to work tomorrow" woohoo...so it is my Friday night now...I hope all have a safe and happy weekend. Spend time with family and relax and enjoy the weekend.

Whats in a Name

My website has a very personal identity. I am the very lucky aunt of 2 sweet boys and a precious little baby girl. The oldest Jalen called me Aunt Gimme, and it has stuck....I absolutely LOVE, LOVE it, almost as much as I love the three of them. They are very dear to me and I am truly grateful that I have their unconditional love in my life....if only we could see the world through the eyes of a child.
I will post a picture to show you how beautiful they are.....

P.S. Thank you JB and Sherri for sharing them with us!!!!!!

Getting Started (My 1st Post)

The first steps are always the hardest to take. I have been treading the waters lately, checking other people's blogs out. I thought it looked pretty interesting and if you know me I am never at a loss for words. (hee hee) I am hoping to keep in touch with family and friends who are out of state. I never have time to keep them updated on the daily events in our lives. (What mother doesn't LOVE to talk about her family). In a few years I will be an Empty Nester. I don't know how this(blog) will work out, but I am hoping that along the way I will make new friends too.
I work for the local Board Of Education. I am a Bookkeeper (yeah really exciting)!!! hee. hee. I really enjoy my work and I am so thankful for the opportunities God has given me. I have a blessed life. My husband is an Engineer with local phone company and we have two children. Brittney is 19 and our son, Ethan is 17. They are truly the greatest gifts in our lives. I teach ladies bible class on Wed. and Sun at our church. I am a member of Junior Auxiliary of which I am very proud. We are involved in work within our church and my husband teaches the teenage class, my husband is the typical male he loves ESPN and he plays Church League Softball with our son and he loves golf and would like for me to learn to play, I am trying!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have a wonderful extended family, which you will hear all about a little later on.
As I said before I have a blessed life and God comes 1st in our families lives. We are blessed with many good friends. We love family things and we enjoy being together. We camp (not as much as we would like), boating, vacations at the beach, traveling to new places. We live on our family farm along with my in-laws and my sister-in-law and her family. There is never a dull moment in our homes. We are so proud to be close to our family. I hope that as this grows it will be inspiring to those I come in contact with, as you inspire me. What a wonderful opportunity to uplift and encourage other women. There will be more to come later...
God Bless
